SW marks retirement of two long serving League Secretaries

At its annual meeting in Taunton on 22nd May, the South West Competitions Committee paid tribute to two League Secretaries who are stepping down after giving a combined total of over 35 years service to the Division.

Clive Drake joined the committee in 2001 and played a large part in integrating lower XVs into the structure of the SW over many years - a move which is now being adopted by leagues across the country from next season.

David Stevens, who was first appointed in 2006, has looked after leagues in both the east and west of the Division in his time on the committee.

Both were presented with a newly designed SW Shield as a mark of appreciation.
