Delay to start of the 2026-27 Season

After extensive discussions with representatives of clubs and others, the RFU has announced a delay to the start of the coming season.

The persistent hot weather and lack of rain has left many clubs with unplayable pitches and an inability to train properly in pre-season.

As a result the RFU has decided that no adult male or female league rugby will be played before Monday 21st September. League fixtures leading up to that date will be re-arranged shortly.
